Create design onlineAbout Bantam® Pink Whirling Butterflies
Bantam® Pink is a compact gaura with dense, rounded foliage and masses of pink, butterfly-like flowers above short, sturdy stems. Green Fuse gives the Bantam series a garden height of 12–16 inches, a width of 18–22 inches and USDA hardiness of zones 5–10, matching the existing catalog dimensions. See the [Green Fuse culture sheet](https://green-fuse.com/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Gaura-Bantam.pdf) and [University of Wisconsin Extension care guidance](https://hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/gaura-gaura-lindheimeri/).
## Garden placement
Give this compact selection a sunny position with freely draining soil. Its small footprint suits borders, containers and mass plantings, while the airy flowers add movement among grasses and other perennials. Gaura flowers are visited by bees and butterflies; this selection also works well as a low foreground plant.
## Seasonal display
Pink blooms continue through summer and into fall. The cultivar keeps a neat, rounded mound while flower stems rise above the foliage.
## Maintenance
Water regularly while plants establish, then reduce irrigation; established gaura tolerates drought. Avoid overly rich or poorly drained ground. Remove spent flower stems to tidy the plant and encourage continued bloom, then cut remaining spikes back in fall and clear dead foliage in spring.
