About BELLEZA 'Dark Pink' Whirling Butterflies

BELLEZA ‘Dark Pink’ is an upright, well-branched gaura with deep rose-pink flowers that open from dark red buds. Selecta’s exact product page lists 12–18 inches tall by 16–20 inches wide, spring-through-autumn flowering, sun exposure and USDA zones 6a–9b. See the [breeder product details](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=028004335004077) and [Royal Horticultural Society profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/344205/gaura-lindheimeri-belleza-dark-pink-belleza-series/details). ## Garden placement Set it in full sun and freely draining soil in a border, container or mixed perennial planting. The slender branching stems add a light, moving layer above compact foliage, and the breeder describes the selection as a pollinator plant that performs in high humidity and extreme heat. ## Seasonal display Dark-pink flowers appear from spring into autumn, with the red buds adding contrast before each flower opens. Its upright branching habit gives it a more vertical outline than the Compact Light Pink selection. ## Maintenance Keep soil well drained and provide moderate moisture during establishment. Once established, gaura tolerates dry periods. Remove spent flower stems as needed; cut back the old spikes in fall and clear dead foliage in spring.
