About BELLEZA 'White' Whirling Butterflies

BELLEZA ‘White’ is a compact, upright gaura with well-branched stems carrying pure-white, butterfly-like flowers. Selecta lists the Belleza White selection at 12–18 inches tall by 16–20 inches wide, with full-sun exposure and USDA zones 6a–9b; the Royal Horticultural Society describes flowers from late spring to early autumn. See the [Selecta product profile](https://www.selectanorthamerica.com/SpringPlants/SeriesInfo/?phid=028004335005863) and [Royal Horticultural Society profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/344207/gaura-lindheimeri-belleza-white-belleza-series/details). ## Garden placement Use it in a sunny border, container or grouped landscape planting with well-drained soil. Its branching stems and open flowers add movement without obscuring plants behind it. The breeder describes the selection as a native pollinator and notes performance in high humidity and extreme heat. ## Seasonal display White flowers open above the foliage from spring through autumn, with the strongest garden display across the warmer months. The small scale works well at the front of a border or in a mixed container. ## Maintenance Water moderately while the plant establishes, then reduce irrigation as the taproot develops. Gaura tolerates drought once established but flowers better with adequate moisture. Deadhead after flowering and cut stems back in fall or early spring; avoid excess winter wet.
