STEFFI™ Blush Pink Improved is an upright, medium-habit selection of Lindheimer’s beeblossom, with abundant large single flowers in blush pink. [Danziger](https://www.danzigeronline.com/catalog/perennials_catalog/steffi-blush-pink-imp/) lists 45 cm by 50 cm dimensions, zones 5–9, and landscape or pot use; [Wisconsin Extension](https://hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/gaura-gaura-lindheimeri/) describes the airy stems and long early-summer bloom through hard frost.
## Growth and Placement
Give it a sunny position in well-drained soil; the species tolerates heat and drought after establishment. Its compact, upright habit suits a sunny border, a low mass planting or a patio container, where the fine stems can add movement without the height of larger gaura forms. Avoid rich, overfed beds, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of flowers.
## Seasonal Display
Small flowers open in sequence along slender, wand-like stems, creating an airy effect from early summer until frost. Bees and bumblebees visit gaura flowers, and butterflies may join them, making this a useful selection for pollinator-friendly borders. The blush-pink color pairs easily with ornamental grasses and other summer perennials.
## Maintenance
Water during establishment and in prolonged dry spells; once rooted, gaura tolerates drought, although adequate moisture supports better flowering. Remove spent stems for a tidier display and to encourage more blooms, then cut flower spikes back in fall and clear dead foliage in spring. Keep the soil well drained, as wet ground can cause root rot.
