Steffi™ White Gaura lindheimeri

STEFFI™ White is a compact Gaura lindheimeri selection with an upright habit and abundant single white flowers. Its fine flower stems add movement to sunny borders and mixed containers. ## Garden Use Danziger lists this selection at about 18 inches tall and 20 inches wide, with USDA hardiness Zones 5–9. A Monrovia trade listing describes its white flowers from spring through fall and notes heat and drought tolerance. The existing Summer seasonal-interest tag remains appropriate. ## Growing Conditions Give the plant full sun and sharply drained soil. Water during establishment, then allow the soil to dry somewhat between irrigations; standing moisture is a greater concern than brief dry periods. Its compact size suits the front or middle of a border and larger patio containers. ## Maintenance After a flush of flowers, selectively trim stems if you want to encourage fresh growth and a neater outline. Leave healthy foliage in place until new growth begins.
