Big Kiss™ Yellow Flame Gazania

Big Kiss™ Yellow Flame is a mounding Gazania rigens selection with large yellow flowers. Syngenta lists blooms up to 4.5 inches across and plants about 10–12 inches tall and wide, giving this variety a fuller scale than many compact gazanias. Its mid-spring to summer flowering and heat-loving habit suit a sunny patio pot or a bright garden bed. ## Siting and soil Choose full sun for the strongest display, with freely draining soil in a bed or container. Gazanias tolerate sandy and relatively poor soils, but they do poorly where water remains around the roots. Water regularly while new plants establish; once settled, allow the soil to dry between waterings. ## Flowering and placement The Big Kiss series combines large flowers with a full, bushy habit that fills larger containers. The Yellow Flame color adds a warm focal point near paths, seating areas, or the front of a sunny border. Like other gazanias, the flowers may close in low light or overnight. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower heads as they fade to encourage more blooms. Check container drainage after rain and avoid keeping the potting mix continually wet.
