Frosty Kiss™ Flame Mix Gazania

Frosty Kiss™ Flame Mix is a mounding Gazania rigens with bright mixed flowers and the silver foliage characteristic of the Frosty Kiss series. Syngenta lists plants about 8–10 inches tall and wide, flowering from mid-spring through summer. The foliage keeps the planting visually interesting when the flowers close in low light or overnight. ## Siting and soil Choose a sunny position and freely draining soil. Sandy or average soil is suitable, while prolonged wetness can damage gazanias. Water new plants while they establish, then allow the soil to dry between waterings. The breeder describes Frosty Kiss as a heat-loving series and recommends it for packs and containers. ## Seasonal display The compact mound works in a patio pot, mixed container, or the front of a warm-season planting. Frosty Kiss flowers earlier and more uniformly than other gazania series with silver leaves, according to Syngenta. Place the plant where it receives direct sun so the flowers open reliably. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower heads as needed to encourage continued bloom. In containers, keep drainage holes clear and avoid leaving the mix saturated during cool weather.
