Gazoo™ Orange with Ring is a Gazania rigens selection with large orange flowers marked by a contrasting ring. Syngenta lists this exact selection for full sun at about 10–12 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, with a vigorous, mounding habit suited to showy pots and landscape planting. ## Garden Use
The broader spread makes Gazoo a useful focal plant in a sunny patio container or an informal front-of-border display. Gazania flower heads open in bright light and close at night or in very cloudy weather, so place the pot or bed where the blooms receive direct sun. The flowers can add a bold patch of warm color among lower, fine-textured foliage.
## Growing Conditions
Choose a full-sun site with freely draining soil; sandy or average soil is suitable. Allow the soil to dry between waterings, and avoid leaving roots in wet ground or standing water. Gazania is often grown as a warm-season annual in containers or baskets where winters are cold, while plants in mild climates may persist longer. ## Maintenance
Remove faded flower heads to encourage further bloom and keep the plant tidy. Water when the soil has dried, then let excess water drain from containers. A light, open planting helps air move around the foliage and keeps the soil from staying wet.
