About Kiss™ Orange Gazania

Kiss™ Orange is a compact Gazania rigens selection with bright orange flowers held above short stems. Ball Seed describes the exact variety as about 8–10 inches tall and wide, with a vigorous, mounded habit; the Kiss series is promoted for heat- and drought-tolerant garden performance. ([Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=028102773003789); [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/sites/g/files/kgtney2376/files/media/document/2025/07/23/sellsheet_gazania_kiss.pdf)) ## Garden Use The compact size suits Kiss Orange to a sunny container, border edge, or small seasonal planting where its saturated color can be seen up close. The flowers open in bright conditions and generally close at night or on very cloudy days, so choose a position with direct sun rather than a shaded corner. ## Growing Conditions Use full sun and well-drained soil; gazanias grow in sandy to average soil and tolerate dry conditions. Let the soil dry between waterings, especially in containers, and avoid prolonged wetness around the roots. The cultivar is marketed for late-spring and summer bloom. In colder climates, gazanias are commonly grown as annuals or moved indoors in containers. ([UF/IFAS Extension](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP225); [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/gazania-rigens/)) ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers to encourage more blooms and keep the plant tidy. Water thoroughly when the growing mix has dried, then empty saucers so roots do not sit in water.
