New Day® Clear Orange Gazania

New Day® Clear Orange is a compact, mounded Gazania rigens with bright orange flowers. PanAmerican Seed identifies the selection as 'PAS753444' and lists it at 8–10 inches tall and 6–8 inches wide for sun; a nursery listing also records USDA zone 9 and spring-to-fall bloom. ## Site and Season Plant it in a sunny, well-drained border, container, rock garden, or edging. The New Day series is bred for sturdy, uniform plants and is described as drought tolerant once established. ## Maintenance Water consistently while plants establish, then let the soil drain between waterings. Deadhead faded flowers to keep the plant tidy and support a longer display. The flowers can attract bees and butterflies.
