About Big Kiss Mix African Daisy

**Big Kiss Mix** is a vigorous gazania selected for large striped flower heads above compact foliage. Ball Seed lists late-spring and summer bloom, a 10–12 inch garden height, an 8–10 inch spread, and full sun ([Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=028105936003332&env=P)); Syngenta identifies the product as *Gazania rigens* and describes large flowers and heat- and drought-tolerant plants ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/product/flower/70019466)). ## Placement and care Place it in full sun in a container or a well-drained garden bed. Upright, bushy plants fill pots quickly, while flowers open most reliably in bright light and can close on cloudy days. Let the soil dry between waterings ([RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/86144/gazania-rigens/details)) and water during prolonged dry spells after establishment. The Big Kiss series includes orange, red, white, and yellow forms; the supplier says the mix may contain most or all series colors. ## Seasonal interest Use the compact plants near the front of sunny borders or in patio pots, where the large blooms remain visible. Their modest spread also suits mixed containers. ## Maintenance Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering. Avoid persistently wet soil, especially in containers, and check pots more often during hot, windy weather.
