About Kiss Frosty Flame Mix African Daisy

**Kiss Frosty Flame Mix** is a compact gazania in the Kiss series, sold for its bright mixed flowers and silvery foliage. Ball Seed’s product information lists *Gazania rigens*, an upright habit, full sun, late-spring and summer bloom, and an 8–10 inch mature height and spread ([Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=028102773025353)). Kiss plants are described as vigorous and uniform, with many flowers on short stems ([Griffin Seed Catalog](https://www.griffins.com/pdf/catalogs/2025-Griffin-Seed-Catalog.pdf)). ## Placement and care Grow in full sun in a well-drained bed or container. Gazania flower heads open in bright conditions and may close in cloud or shade. Let the soil dry between waterings ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/gazania-rigens/common-name/gazania/)) and water during prolonged dry weather while plants establish. This mix is sold with red, orange, and yellow flame colors, which show well at the front of a sunny border or in a patio pot. ## Seasonal interest The compact mounded growth and short flower stems make the mix useful in small containers and the front of bedding displays. Silvery foliage adds contrast when flowers are closed or between flushes. ## Maintenance Deadhead spent flower heads to encourage further bloom. Avoid heavy, waterlogged soil and empty saucers under pots after watering. Treat it as seasonal bedding where winter temperatures are too cold for tender gazania.
