Create design onlineAbout Sterling Silver™ Yellow - Gazania
Sterling Silver™ Yellow is a gazania with double yellow flowers and clean silver foliage. A current grower listing gives this exact color a height of 10–12 inches, while the breeder’s Sterling Silver™ culture sheet gives the series a 15–18-inch garden width and a 4–6-inch height; this selection is best treated as a compact, spreading border plant. [Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/WEBTRACKPLANTINFO.ASPX?PHID=028110008006060&env=P) describes the double flowers, silver leaves, and border use.
## Garden Use
Plant it in full sun at the edge of a bed, in a sunny container, or as a low groundcover among plants with darker foliage. [Peoria Gardens](https://www.peoriagardens.com/plants/sterling-silver-yellow-yellow/) reports yellow blooms from late spring into fall and notes that the flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
## Growing Conditions
Use well-drained soil in a sunny location. Gazanias prefer free drainage and should not stay wet for long; [North Carolina Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/gazania-rigens/common-name/gazania/) recommends allowing soil to dry between waterings. Ball Seed lists this color for USDA zones 5a–9b. The breeder’s series culture sheet lists zones 5–10; the exact-selection Ball Seed range is used here for zone endpoints.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flower heads to encourage continued bloom, as described in [UF/IFAS gazania guidance](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP225).
