About Calliope® Cascade Geranium

Calliope® Cascade is an interspecific pelargonium bred for large, semi-double flowers and a spreading display. Its semi-trailing stems make the series useful where blooms can spill over a basket or the edge of a large container. ## Garden use The breeder describes Cascade plants as about 12–16 inches tall and 20–24 inches wide, with flowering from mid spring into summer. Use the plant in hanging baskets, patio pots, or a sunny landscape bed where its outward growth has room to show. Calliope Cascade is a trade series with multiple color varieties, so the flower color depends on the selected offering. ## Growing conditions Give the plant full sun or part sun, with at least four hours of direct light. Use well-drained soil and water after the surface begins to dry; pots may need more frequent checks during warm weather. Calliope is heat tolerant and, once established, can tolerate drier intervals. The [Syngenta product guide](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70095371) provides Cascade specifications, while [Calliope growing tips](https://calliope.flowers/tips/) describe light and watering care. ## Maintenance Calliope is largely self-cleaning, but remove old flower stems at their base to encourage continued flowering. Check baskets regularly in hot weather and water when the potting mix begins to dry.
