About Horizon Lavender Geranium

Horizon Lavender is an upright F1 zonal geranium selected for its lavender-toned flowers and compact growth. Syngenta lists the named color variety under *Pelargonium x hortorum* and gives a garden size of about 25–30 cm tall by 20–25 cm wide ([product details](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/product/flower/70092139)). ## Garden Use Use it along a sunny border edge or in a container where its flower clusters sit above the foliage. Horizon varieties branch from the base and are promoted for landscape and pot displays; the series flowers from mid-spring through summer ([regional flowering period](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/product/flower/70092139)) and can continue to show color into late summer. ## Growing Conditions Grow in full sun to partial sun in well-drained loamy soil. Keep the root zone from becoming excessively dry, especially in pots, and avoid setting the crown deeply in soil. The species is grown as an annual in the garden reference, so plan for seasonal replacement in climates with cold winters ([UF/IFAS](https://ask.ifas.ufl.edu/publication/FP458)). ## Maintenance Remove faded flower clusters regularly to promote continued flowering. Keep nearby plants spaced to support air circulation around the leaves.
