About Maverick™ Appleblossom Geranium

Maverick™ Appleblossom is a seed-grown zonal geranium with soft pink and rose flower clusters, which [Wallish Greenhouses describes as two-tone](https://www.wallishgreenhouses.ca/plant-name/2004). It flowers freely from spring into summer; [Syngenta Flowers identifies the selection as Pelargonium × hortorum and lists its dimensions, exposure, and bloom timing](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70020496). ## Placement Allow about 14–16 inches in height and 12–14 inches in width. Set plants outdoors after frost danger has passed; in climates with freezing winters, this tender geranium is grown as a warm-season annual unless protected indoors. ## Growing Conditions Provide full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Iowa State University Extension recommends at least six hours of sun, fertile well-drained soil, and more frequent watering for container plants during hot, dry weather. Water when the mix begins to dry, let excess drain, and avoid waterlogged roots. Light, regular feeding during active growth supports continued flowering. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stalks to keep the plant tidy and encourage continued flowering. Check containers more often during warm, windy periods, clear damaged leaves, and keep drainage holes open. Before frost, move a healthy plant to a bright indoor location if you want to overwinter it; otherwise, let it finish as a seasonal display.
