About Maverick™ Star Geranium

Maverick™ Star is an upright F1 zonal geranium with white flowers marked by a rose-pink eye and deep green, zoned foliage, as shown by [Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70007886) and [W.H. Perron](https://whperron.com/en/?product=geranium-maverick-star-f1). It forms a compact, free-flowering plant about 14–16 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide, suited to sunny containers and bedding displays. ## Garden Use Use it where the bicolor flowers can be seen up close, such as patio pots, window boxes, or the front of a sunny bed. Its upright form and strong bloom display also work well in repeated groups. ## Growing Conditions Give Maverick™ Star a bright, warm position and a freely draining potting mix. Start seed indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost, then plant outside after frost danger has passed. Keep the soil moist while plants establish and water containers when the surface of the mix begins to dry. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower heads to keep the display tidy. Protect plants from frost; Syngenta lists the Maverick™ series as an annual crop.
