About Multibloom™ Red Geranium

Multibloom™ Red is a compact, upright seed geranium with bright red flower clusters. The early-flowering series produces many blooms on plants about 10–12 inches tall and wide, making this selection useful in small pots, window boxes, and sunny border plantings. ## Seasonal Interest Multibloom is bred to start the season early and flower heavily, with an average of 15–20 blooms per plant. Red flowers give small-space plantings a strong block of color from mid-spring into summer. [Syngenta’s product page lists the Red selection, spring-to-summer flowering, and 25–30 cm garden dimensions](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/emea/es/product/flower/70034994); [Ball Seed reports its compact habit and 3-inch flower clusters](https://info.ballseed.com/webtrackplantinfo.aspx?ENV=P&phid=028700960004463). ## Growing Conditions Grow in full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Plant outside once frost danger has passed. Multibloom’s compact size suits packs and small containers, and the same low, full habit can edge a sunny annual bed. Water when the soil surface begins to dry and allow pots to drain freely. [Illinois Extension’s geranium guide](https://extension.illinois.edu/flowers/geranium) provides general growing guidance for Pelargonium × hortorum. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stems regularly to keep the display neat and encourage additional flowers. Avoid waterlogged soil, especially in containers, and remove damaged leaves to keep air moving around the plant.
