About Presto Pink Geranium

Presto™ Pink is a naturally compact, upright zonal geranium with dark foliage and a strong first flush of soft pink flowers. Ball FloraPlant lists plants at 8–10 inches tall and wide, a size suited to small pots, window boxes, and the front of sunny seasonal plantings. ## Garden use Use Presto Pink where a tidy mound of color is useful in a container, basket, or border edge. The breeder notes that plants are well-branched, flower early, and generally need no growth regulators in production; a [Ball FloraPlant product profile](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=028901184004054) gives its dimensions and sun exposure. A nursery profile describes lightly scented pink flower clusters from late spring into early fall and notes their suitability for cutting ([Buchanan’s Native Plants](https://buchanansplants.com/plant-library/annuals/presto-pink-geranium/)). ## Growing conditions Plant after frost in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil. [Iowa State Extension](https://yardandgarden.extension.iastate.edu/how-to/growing-annual-geraniums) recommends watering beds during dry periods and checking containers more often, especially in hot weather. Avoid standing water around the roots. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stalks to tidy the plant and encourage more flowers. Water container plants when the surface of the mix begins to dry, and check more often during warm, windy weather. Treat Presto Pink as seasonal outdoor color wherever frost occurs.
