Dragon Heart Hardy Geranium

Geranium ‘Bremdra’, marketed as ‘Dragon Heart’, is a large clumping cranesbill with deeply lobed leaves that tint red in autumn. Its striking magenta-crimson flowers have nearly black centers and can reach about 5 cm across; RHS describes upright stems to 60 cm, while a UK nursery lists a mature size near 45 cm tall by 60 cm wide. It grows in sun or partial shade and tolerates a range of well-drained soils. Park Seed lists USDA zones 4–8; RHS gives a UK hardiness rating, and the two systems describe different climates. ## Maintenance Water new plants until established. Remove old flowering stems and browned leaves after the display, and trim selectively if the spreading stems begin to overtake nearby plants.
