About Rozanne Hardy Geranium

Rozanne is a vigorous, spreading hardy geranium with violet-blue flowers, white centers, and deep green, lightly marbled foliage. It flowers over a long stretch from late spring into mid-fall, bringing sustained color to borders and ground-cover plantings. [Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=GERRO) reports an 18–20 inch height, a 24–36 inch spread, and USDA Zones 5–8. ## Flowers and Placement The saucer-shaped blooms stand above the foliage and continue because the flowers are sterile. Allow space for the plant to spread through neighboring perennials, or let it soften the edge of a path or container. Its blue flowers pair well with yellow or chartreuse foliage. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun or partial shade and in moist, well-drained soil. [The RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/153768/geranium-rozanne-gerwat/details) describes violet-blue flowers with purple veins and a white center, flowering from early summer to early autumn. The foliage forms a dense, lobed mound as the plant fills its space. ## Maintenance Water during prolonged dry spells while the planting establishes. Remove tired stems or trim back after the main flush if a neater edge is needed.
