About Geranium Rozanne

Geranium ‘Rozanne’ is a spreading hybrid cranesbill grown for violet-blue flowers with pale centers above lobed green foliage. It blooms from late spring through summer and can continue into early autumn, bringing a long display to low borders and ground-cover plantings. ## Size and placement Allow about 18–20 inches of height and 2–3 feet of spread. Plant in full sun for the strongest flowering or in partial shade where afternoon protection is useful. It suits a border front, patio edge, rock garden, or container. [UC Davis](https://uclpit.ucdavis.edu/geranium_rozanne) reports mature plants spreading 2–3 feet, while [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/geranium-rozanne/) confirms the violet-blue flowers, hybrid habit, and landscape uses. ## Water and seasonal care Established plants tolerate some drought, but water during extended dry spells for steady growth and flowering. The foliage dies back in fall in colder climates. Cut away spent flowering stems and old leaves to encourage fresh growth; [RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/153768/geranium-rozanne-gerwat/details) describes this pruning approach. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers and tired leaves as needed to keep fresh foliage visible.
