About ColorBloom™ Deep Orange with Dark Eye Gerbera

ColorBloom™ Deep Orange with Dark Eye is a compact gerbera bred for vivid orange flowers with contrasting dark centers. PanAmerican Seed lists a 4–6 inch height, a 6–8 inch spread, partial sun, and flowering from early spring into winter, making this selection well suited to small patio pots and seasonal bedding displays. ## Appearance and use The upright plants carry daisy-like flower heads above a low foliage mound. Their small footprint works in quart-size containers, sunny entry plantings, and mixed annual beds; individual blooms can also be cut for short arrangements. The deep orange petals and dark eye give the flowers a strong focal point in a close planting. ## Growing conditions Choose a bright site with partial sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Keep moisture even while allowing the crown to dry between waterings; avoid leaving the root zone waterlogged. In hot climates, give afternoon shade and good air movement. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stems to encourage more blooms. Check containers regularly because they can dry faster than garden soil, and bring plants under cover where frost threatens.
