Jaguar™ Rose Picotee is an F1 seed gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii) in Syngenta Flowers’ compact Jaguar series. The breeder lists this pink/rose color variety as upright, 8–10 inches high and 6–8 inches wide, with flowering from mid spring through summer and three to five blooms at first flush ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70000977)).
## Seasonal display
The compact habit and short, sturdy flower stems suit patio pots and small container groupings where its pink and rose tones can be seen close up. Jaguar is produced as a potted annual crop, and the series is bred for an early, uniform flush of flowers. The exact display timing outdoors will shift with temperature and light.
## Growing conditions
Give it full sun, part sun, or part shade, as Syngenta lists for Jaguar. Use fertile, moist, well-drained soil and keep the crown level with the soil surface; persistently soggy soil can lead to root rot ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/gerbera-jamesonii/)).
## Maintenance
Remove fading flower stems at the base to keep the plant tidy and encourage further flowering. Water to keep the root zone moist while allowing excess water to drain; avoid burying the crown or leaving the pot standing in water.
