Sunkissed Lime™ avens is a compact, clump-forming perennial grown for bright lime foliage and orange flowers held just above the leaves. Its tidy mound brings a strong late-spring accent to small borders and edging without taking much room. ## Landscape Use Plant it near the front of a mixed border, along a path, or in a small group where its foliage can contrast with darker leaves. The breeder lists edging and borders among its landscape uses, and notes that the flowers attract pollinators. ## Growing Conditions Give the plant full sun or partial shade and moist, loamy soil with average garden water. Terra Nova lists mature foliage height near 9 inches, flowering stems around 12 inches, and spread near 16 inches. Allow room for the mound to widen while keeping taller neighboring plants from hiding its short stems. ## Seasonal Interest Orange flowers appear from April through June, with the lime, green, and yellow foliage carrying color between flushes.
