RUSTICO™ Orange Avens

RUSTICO™ Orange is a compact avens with a dense mound of deep green leaves and abundant red-orange flowers. The selection blooms over a long spring-to-summer period and fits naturally into small borders and containers. ## Season and form The cultivar denomination is ‘TNGEURO’; RUSTICO™ Orange is the trade name. Terra Nova lists a 9-inch foliage height, 14-inch spread, and flowers to about 10 inches, with bloom from April through July. The [breeder profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/geum-rustico-orange/) describes its clumping, mounding form, orange-red flowers, and USDA Zones 5–9. Its [plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP28238P2/en) records the compact mound, red-orange color, dense green foliage, and the exact denomination. ## Placement and care Grow it in full sun or part shade in moist, loamy, well-drained soil. The breeder suggests mixed beds, mass plantings, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. Its moderate size also suits a front-of-border position where the flowers can be seen against low foliage. Keep the soil evenly moist without leaving the crown waterlogged. ## Maintenance Remove spent stems as needed to keep the mound neat. No special pruning schedule is specified by the breeder.
