About Graceful Grasses® Sky Rocket Fountain Grass

Graceful Grasses® Sky Rocket is a compact fountain grass with green leaves edged in white and arching pink plumes that age toward cream. Proven Winners lists it at 24–30 inches tall and 16–20 inches wide, for full sun and USDA zones 9–11. [Proven Winners plant page](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/pennisetum/graceful-grasses-sky-rocket-fountain-grass-pennisetum-setaceum) · [Plant patent USPP21497P2](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP21497P2/en) ## Siting and display Use Sky Rocket in a sunny container as a thriller or group it in a border for upright foliage and warm-season texture. Its green-and-white variegation distinguishes it from related Fireworks, while its named identity and patent number remain separate from other fountain-grass selections. The grower lists spring and summer flower seasons and also describes plumes continuing from midsummer into mid-fall. It is usually grown as an annual where winters are cold; its listed USDA range is 9–11. ## Maintenance Provide average watering and allow containers to drain freely. Proven Winners says deadheading is not necessary. Remove brown foliage in fall or cut it back in spring before new growth begins. Divide an established clump while it is actively growing and not in flower, if it needs renewal.
