Graceful Grasses® Toffee Twist Toffee Twist Sedge

Carex flagellifera ‘Toffee Twist’ is an evergreen sedge with fine, arching bronze foliage that forms a tufted clump. Brown flower spikes rise above the leaves in summer. ## Growth and Siting Use the warm foliage as a textural accent in a border, rock garden or container, and site it in sun or partial shade. It grows best in moist but well-drained soil; avoid leaving the crown waterlogged. Allow space for a gradual, clump-forming spread. ## Seasonal Care The bronze foliage can provide interest beyond the flowering season where winter conditions are mild. Plants may be treated as annuals outside reliably hardy climates. Its fine texture pairs well with broad-leaved perennials and low shrubs. ## Maintenance Water during establishment and during dry spells, especially in containers. Remove damaged foliage and divide crowded clumps as needed. [Online Plant Guide](https://www.onlineplantguide.com/Plant-Details/435/) identifies the exact cultivar and reports USDA Zones 7–10, moist to well-drained soil, and partial sun or filtered shade.
