This dwarf black chokeberry is a prostrate, densely branched deciduous shrub reaching 8 to 14 inches tall and spreading up to 3 feet. It features glossy green foliage that transforms into vibrant shades of red and orange in autumn. In spring, clusters of dainty white flowers appear, followed by dark purple-black berries that attract birds. Highly adaptable, it thrives in full sun to part shade and tolerates various soil types, drought, and salt, making it an ideal weed-suppressing groundcover.
