Heart to Heart® Rain or Shine™ is the Proven Winners caladium selection 'RFL THAI OF13-1055', grown for foliage rather than showy flowers. Its upright leaves combine bronze-red tones, pink speckles and black veins, retaining color in sun or shade.
## Foliage and placement
The [Rain or Shine plant guide](https://www.provenwinners.com/plants/caladium/heart-heart-rain-or-shine-sun-or-shade-caladium-caladium-hortulanum) lists mature height of 15–20 inches and spread of 8–10 inches. Use it as a container thriller, a bold border accent or in mass plantings where its patterned leaves can be seen up close. The breeder also lists it as useful for cut flowers.
## Growing conditions
This heat-tolerant caladium grows in full sun, part sun or shade, with the best exposure depending on local sunlight intensity. Keep the soil consistently moist but well drained, and grow it in a warm spot; the breeder recommends keeping temperatures above 65°F. It is hardy in USDA zones 10–11 and is grown as an annual in cooler climates.
## Maintenance
Water regularly so the root zone does not dry out, while avoiding soggy soil. Feed lightly during active growth and protect the plant from cold. Caladium foliage is an irritant if eaten; keep leaves away from pets and children.
