About Mariachi™ 'Fuego' Sneezeweed

Mariachi™ ‘Fuego’ is a compact Helenium autumnale with yellow, orange, and red ray flowers around a brown center. The Royal Horticultural Society describes sturdy stems and late-summer-to-autumn flowers; a perennial profile gives a 16–20 inch height, 20–23 inch spread, full sun, and USDA zones 3–9. Its strong stems are suited to cutting. Its compact size and branching habit let it fit between taller late-season perennials. ## Growing Conditions Plant in full sun and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water regularly during establishment and in dry weather. Allow room for the clump to spread and keep good air movement around the foliage. ## Maintenance Deadhead faded flowers to prolong the season. Remove old stems after flowering or in early spring; divide clumps in spring or autumn if they become congested.
