Create design onlineAbout Annabel Sun Rose
‘Annabel’ is a compact sunrose with double, soft pink flowers held above a low mound of evergreen gray-green foliage. This named Helianthemum selection fits the front of a sunny border, a small rock garden, or a dry, well-drained slope.
## Landscape Use
Use it as a small groundcover, edging plant, or accent among lavender and other plants that prefer a sunny, freely drained site. Flowers open from late spring into summer. Published mature sizes differ modestly: nursery sources list about 8–12 inches tall and 12–23 inches wide, while another gives a broader 1–3 foot spread.
## Growing Conditions
Give ‘Annabel’ full sun and very good drainage, especially through winter. Sandy or ordinary garden soil is suitable if water does not stand around the roots. Water while establishing, then reduce irrigation; established plants tolerate dry periods. Sources list USDA zones 4–9.
## Maintenance
Trim lightly immediately after flowering to keep the mound dense. Avoid cutting deeply into old woody stems. Sources: [Native Sons Wholesale Nursery](https://www.nativeson.com/product/helianthemum-annabel), [Perennials.com](https://www.perennials.com/plants/helianthemum-annabel.html).
