Sunfinity® Double Yellow Helianthus

Sunfinity® Double Yellow (70111657) is a vigorous, branching annual sunflower with double yellow-gold flowers and a long succession of blooms. Its bushy, upright form is suited to large patio pots and in-ground plantings. ## Garden use Syngenta lists this vegetative selection at 32–40 inches high and 24–30 inches wide; its culture information gives a slightly shorter range, so leave room for a plant roughly 2½–3½ feet tall. The [breeder product page](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70111657) describes continual summer flowering and reports high resistance to powdery mildew. Syngenta also labels the variety pollinator friendly. ## Growing conditions Use full sun or part sun and provide a large container or open bed. The breeder’s culture notes list USDA zones 4–11 for vegetative Sunfinity material; in colder regions, grow it as a warm-season annual. A pot can dry faster than garden soil, so check its moisture regularly during hot weather. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers if you want to keep the plant neat and direct growth toward new buds. At season’s end, cut back the annual stems and clear them from the bed. The plant’s branching habit and extended flowering make it a useful focal point for a patio or seasonal border.
