Hemerocallis 'Breathless Beauty' is an evergreen daylily with dark red-purple flowers and green throats above arching, strap-shaped leaves. Its clumping leaves also make a useful seasonal ground cover. The RHS lists several soil textures; good drainage supports a healthy crown. ## Growing conditions Water new divisions while they establish. Once mature, daylilies can tolerate dry spells, though prolonged drought can still reduce flowering. This selection is evergreen and clump-forming; its broad height and spread ranges are more useful for planning than a single universal garden size. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stems and old leaves as they decline, and divide crowded clumps when flowering or vigor falls. Keep the crown at soil level and avoid leaving it in waterlogged ground.
