About Hall's Pink Daylily

‘Hall’s Pink’ is a compact daylily with light pink flowers held above a clump of grassy foliage. The large blooms appear in mid to late summer, making the plant useful for adding a soft flower color to a sunny border. ## Garden Use Plant it in a border, container, or drift, or use the flowers for cutting. References differ on mature size: Heritage Perennials lists about 18–20 inches tall and 23–27 inches wide, while the RHS gives broader height and spread ranges. Allow room for the clump and its flowering scapes rather than relying on one narrow measurement. ## Growing Conditions Grow in full sun or partial shade; heavier shade can reduce flowering. A fertile, moist but well-drained soil is preferred, though cultivar references also list clay, sandy, and average garden soils. The RHS notes that it tolerates poorer ground, while Heritage Perennials describes the selection as adaptable across average, dry, and moist conditions. Published hardiness guidance includes USDA zones 2–9. ## Maintenance Trim flower stems after the blooms finish and remove old foliage in late fall. Daylilies can remain undisturbed for several years; divide a crowded clump in early spring or fall.
