‘Little Grapette’ is a compact, semi-evergreen miniature daylily with grape-purple flowers, a darker band, and a bright green throat. The American Hemerocallis Society records its 2-inch miniature blooms, 12-inch scapes, and early season; garden profiles describe a compact clump with flowers opening successively over several weeks.
## Growing conditions
Plant it in full sun or partial shade in ordinary garden soil that drains reasonably well. Its tidy clump works at the front of a border or in a container, and the strappy foliage remains green through mild winters. In northern gardens it typically flowers in summer; the Chicago Botanic Garden notes that each flower lasts one day, but the many buds open in sequence. Leave room for the foliage clump to widen and for the flower stalks to rise above it. The cultivar is hardy across USDA zones 3–9, though bloom dates shift with climate.
## Maintenance
Remove spent flowers for a tidier display and cut old foliage back after it declines. Divide crowded clumps in spring or fall, keeping several growing points in each division.
