Hemerocallis ‘Lullaby Baby’ is a compact daylily with fragrant, pale pink flowers and a clear green throat. Its arching leaves form a tidy clump, and early to mid-summer flowers rise just above the foliage. [RHS](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/48173/hemerocallis-lullaby-baby/details) describes lightly scented, ruffled blooms and foliage to about 50 cm; [Gardenia](https://www.gardenia.net/plant/hemerocallis-lullaby-baby) reports flowers around 3.5 inches across and a mature spread of 18–24 inches.
## In the Garden
Plant it in full sun and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. The RHS lists clay, loam, sand and chalk among suitable soils, so improve drainage where a site stays wet. Use this smaller selection near the front or middle of a perennial border, in groups, or in a roomy container. Keep the root zone evenly moist while it establishes and water during a dry spell in spring or early summer to support flowering.
## Seasonal Interest
The pale blooms open in early to mid-summer, with each flower lasting about a day; new buds extend the display. A soft pink-and-green palette pairs well with blue or white summer flowers and finer foliage. The semi-evergreen habit can retain leaves in mild conditions, though foliage may die back in colder climates.
## Maintenance
Remove faded flowers for a neat appearance, then cut the finished flower stalks to the base. Clear dead leaves as needed and divide established clumps in spring when they become crowded, as outlined in the [RHS growing notes](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/48173/hemerocallis-lullaby-baby/details).
