About Moonlit Masquerade Daylily

Hemerocallis ‘Moonlit Masquerade’ is known for creamy near-white flowers with a large dark-purple eye and green throat. The named selection reblooms and forms a semi-evergreen clump; published descriptions give mature heights from about 23 to 28 inches and a spread near 18–24 inches. [Plant Delights Nursery](https://www.plantdelights.com/products/hemerocallis-moonlit-masquerade) records USDA Zones 3a–9b and a 28-inch height, while [Heritage Perennials](https://www.perennials.com/plants/hemerocallis-moonlit-masquerade.html) describes its flower colors and repeat bloom. ## Garden Use Plant this daylily in a sunny or lightly shaded border where the high-contrast eye can be seen, or use it in a large container or cut-flower planting. Its early-to-midseason flowers begin around early summer, with some rebloom later in summer. Leave room for the arching leaves and the mature clump. ## Growing Conditions Provide average, well-drained soil and water during extended dry periods while the plant establishes. Full sun supports the best flowering, but partial shade is tolerated. The cultivar is tetraploid and semi-evergreen, so foliage may persist in mild weather and decline more in cold conditions. ## Maintenance Remove spent scapes after flowering and clear dead foliage in late winter. Divide in fall or early spring only when the clump is crowded; this selection can remain undisturbed for several years.
