About Omomuki Daylily

Hemerocallis 'Omomuki' is a fragrant, early-midseason daylily with heavily ruffled chartreuse-yellow flowers and bright green throats. Each bloom is about 5 inches wide and remains open for many hours, while successive buds extend the display. ## Landscape Use At roughly 26 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide, this clump-forming selection suits a sunny border or a small repeated planting. Its clear yellow and green coloring is easy to place beside blue, violet or deep green foliage. ## Growing Conditions Grow it in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Water in dry spring and early-summer weather to support flowering. The [Chicago Botanic Garden profile](https://www.chicagobotanic.org/plant-information/plant-finder/hemerocallis-omomuki-omomuki-daylily) records its color, fragrance, 5-inch flowers, early-midseason bloom and possible rebloom; the [RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/166292/hemerocallis-omomuki/details) describes its light and soil needs. ## Maintenance Remove spent blossoms for a neat display and cut each scape back after flowering. Clear dead leaves as needed, and divide established clumps in early spring or early fall if they become congested.
