About Passionate Returns Daylily

‘Passionate Returns’ is a compact, reblooming daylily with rosy red, ruffled flowers and a yellow-green throat. Its branched flower stalks carry successive buds, giving the plant an unusually long display from early summer into late summer. [Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HMPAR) identifies the selection and reports a 17-inch height; [Prides Corner Farms](https://www.pridescorner.com/plant-name/Hemerocallis-Passionate-Returns-Daylily) describes 16–18-inch plants and flowering from mid-June to mid-September. ## Garden Use Place this low clump near the front of a sunny or partly shaded border, in a container, or in a repeated mass. The flowers suit cut arrangements, and the plant’s semi-evergreen leaves keep some structure where winters are mild. It is hardy in USDA zones 4–9 according to the breeder. ## Growing Conditions Grow in reasonably drained soil and water through establishment. Once established, this cultivar tolerates dry periods; it also handles common urban conditions. Bloom timing varies with climate, so the listed summer season is a guide rather than a fixed calendar. ## Maintenance Remove spent flowers for a tidier display; this is mainly cosmetic and does not usually extend bloom. Divide the clump every few years if it becomes crowded. Keep the cultivar name and PP20002 attached when labeling or sourcing plants.
