About Patio Parade Daylily

Hemerocallis ‘Patio Parade’ forms a clump of arching foliage beneath fragrant, pale-yellow flowers. It is a midseason bloomer with rebloom, offering another flush of color after the first flowers fade. ## Flowers and placement Sources report a 24–28-inch plant with 18–24-inch spacing; [Dave’s Garden](https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/15278) also records a 24–36-inch height range. A [daylily nursery listing](https://www.wildwoodfarmsdaylilies.com/uploads/3/8/2/9/38297549/price_list_2022.pdf) identifies the flowers as fragrant, yellow, and about 6 inches wide. Place it in a sunny perennial border or group several plants where the bright flowers can repeat through summer. ## Growing conditions Daylilies grow in full sun or partial shade and adapt to many soil types, though fertile soil with steady moisture and good drainage supports flowering. Avoid waterlogged ground. Water new plantings during dry spells and established clumps during prolonged heat. A large container can work if it has drainage and enough root room. ## Maintenance Remove faded flowers and cut each finished flower stalk to the base. Divide older clumps every few years if they become congested. The [RHS daylily guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/hemerocallis/growing-guide) covers watering, division, and seasonal cleanup.
