About Scottish Fantasy Daylily

Scottish Fantasy is a vigorous, fragrant daylily with coral-pink flowers, a sunny yellow watermark, a lime-green throat, and ruffled edges. Its well-branched stalks carry many buds for a midsummer display, with rebloom possible later in the season ([Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HMSCF); [American Daylily Society](https://daylilies.org/cultivar/scottish-fantasy/)). ## Garden use and siting The cultivar reaches about 28 inches tall and spreads 18 to 24 inches, making it suitable for borders and mass plantings. Give it full sun for best flowering; it also grows in part shade. Its semi-evergreen foliage remains present longer in mild climates than dormant types. ## Seasonal display Large five- to five-and-a-half-inch blooms appear in midsummer and may return later in summer. The open flowers are useful as cut flowers, and the coral, yellow, and green tones contrast well with finer-textured foliage. Walters Gardens lists hardiness zones 3 through 9. ## Maintenance Remove spent stalks when flowering ends. Divide the clump in spring or fall every three to four years to refresh growth and make new plants ([Walters Gardens](https://www.waltersgardens.com/variety.php?ID=HMSCF)).
