‘Wedding Band’ is a midseason, semi-evergreen daylily with cream-white flowers, a golden-yellow ruffled edge, and a green throat. Fragrant single blooms measure about 5½ inches across on 26-inch scapes, bringing a finely edged accent to perennial borders.
## Flowers and size
The [American Daylily Society registry](https://daylilies.org/cultivar/wedding-band/) records the cultivar’s color, fragrance, semi-evergreen foliage, bloom season, and scape height. A [Colorado State University perennial trial](https://agsci.colostate.edu/landscapeplants/wp-content/uploads/sites/57/2016/02/Perennial_2015_Report.pdf) found plants about 2–2½ feet tall with a 2½–3-foot spread at its two trial locations. That spread supports a 30–36-inch width range, broader than the existing catalog estimate.
## Siting and soil
The pale petals and gold edge are easy to appreciate near a path or at the front of a mixed border. Daylilies grow in full sun or partial shade and prefer soil that drains well. Leave room for the mature clump and avoid placing it where tree roots will compete for moisture. [Oakes Daylilies’ growing guide](https://oakesdaylilies.com/pages/daylily-growing-and-care) gives practical advice on light, drainage, and spacing.
## Maintenance
Water new divisions while they establish, then supplement rainfall during prolonged dry weather. Remove spent flowers and cut scapes after their final buds open. Divide established clumps when they become crowded, replanting divisions in spring or fall. Keep foliage through the growing season; the registry lists this cultivar as semi-evergreen.
