About White Temptation Daylily

Hemerocallis ‘White Temptation’ is a clump-forming daylily with near-white, five-inch flowers and a green throat. Its midseason blooms rise on scapes about 32 inches tall, while the arching leaves form a lower mound. ### Site and seasonal interest Plant in full sun for the strongest flowering, or in partial shade where afternoon light is hot. The Royal Horticultural Society lists a mature height of about 0.5–1 m and spread of 0.1–0.5 m, with moist but well-drained soil; the American Hemerocallis Society records a midseason bloom and semi-evergreen foliage. In warm regions, foliage may remain longer, while colder winters can reduce it. ### Garden use Use the white flowers and green throat to brighten a perennial border or repeat in a sunny bed. Give the clump room to expand, and water during dry spring conditions while flower stalks are developing. Daylily flowers last one day each, but successive buds extend the display. ## Maintenance After flowering, remove the spent stalks and tidy damaged foliage. Divide crowded clumps in early spring or early autumn, replanting divisions promptly and watering them until established.
