Desert Flamenco® Red Yucca

Desert Flamenco® red yucca is a compact, clumping Hesperaloe with narrow, grasslike foliage and shorter, fuller, more-branched flower spikes than the species. Its pink and light-orange flowers open from spring through fall, bringing a long season of color above the leaf mound. ## Form and Flower The foliage clump is about 2–3 feet tall and wide, with flowering stems rising above it. Water regularly during the first dry season, then reduce irrigation; established plants tolerate dry conditions. Allow the mature clump room beside paths because the leaves are stiff and pointed. ## Landscape Use Plant it in a gravel garden, sunny border, or a large container with sharp drainage.
