Chaparral yucca

Hesperoyucca whipplei, commonly known as Our Lord's Candle, is a striking monocarpic succulent native to the chaparral regions of California and Baja. It forms a dense, stemless rosette of rigid, silver-green leaves with sharp, needle-like tips. After several years, it produces a magnificent, fast-growing flower spike reaching up to fifteen feet, adorned with hundreds of fragrant, bell-shaped white blooms. This drought-tolerant plant thrives in well-draining soil and full sun, making it an architectural focal point.
