Create design onlineAbout Apple Crisp™ Coral Bells
Apple Crisp is a compact coral bells selection with sharply ruffled green leaves under a silvery-white veil and short stems of white bell-shaped flowers. Terra Nova lists it for USDA zones 4–9, with foliage about 6 inches tall and an 11-inch spread; its registered identifiers are PP23576 and EU37047.
## Landscape Use
Set this tight mound at the front of a border, along an edge, in a rock garden, or in a mixed container where the bright foliage can be seen close up. The leaves provide the main display, while the modest white flowers add a spring accent without obscuring neighboring plants. [Terra Nova’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-apple-crisp/) identifies it as part of the CRISP™ Series and notes its green, ruffled leaves and short flowering stems.
## Growing Conditions
Grow in part shade or a cooler sunny position with moderately moist, well-drained soil. Organic matter helps maintain an even moisture supply, but the crown should not sit in soggy soil. Allow the plant’s compact spread to guide spacing, especially in containers.
## Maintenance
In early spring, remove weathered leaves and old flower stems as needed. Keep the crown at soil level rather than burying it, and water during prolonged dry spells while the plant is getting established.
