About Heuchera 'Berry Marmalade'

Berry Marmalade is a vigorous coral bells selection with broad, ruffled purple-black leaves and a silvery sheen. Terra Nova lists a 12-inch foliage height, 28-inch spread, and 18-inch flower-stem height for USDA zones 4–9; the selection is identified by PP23285, EU37275, and the breeder code TNHEUBM. ## Landscape Use Use its dark foliage as a strong contrast in mixed borders, mass plantings, and large containers. The leaves hold their color and shape well through summer and provide winter interest, while the plant is notably shy to flower. When it does bloom, short sprays of white flowers appear around early to midsummer. [Terra Nova’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-berry-marmalade/) documents its dimensions, dark foliage, flowering period, and MARMALADE™ Landscape Series identity. ## Growing Conditions Part shade is a reliable starting point; the breeder also lists full sun where soil moisture is adequate. Plant in organic, well-drained soil and keep it moderately moist without burying the crown. Established plants are better kept slightly on the dry side than in wet soil. ## Maintenance Remove damaged foliage in early spring and spent flower stems when they appear. The breeder describes the selection as low-cleanup and reports strong foliage through heat and cold; avoid cutting healthy leaves back in fall so they can continue to protect the crown.
