‘Berry Smoothie’ coral bells brings a shifting wash of rose-pink foliage to the garden, with rounded leaves that deepen toward purple as the season warms. Airy stems of small white bells rise above the mound in late spring and early summer, adding a light floral accent to a foliage-first perennial. [Terra Nova](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-berry-smoothie/) records the cultivar at 18 inches tall in foliage, 20 inches wide, with flower stems to 28 inches; its patent describes the seasonal rose coloring and vigorous habit. [The cultivar patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP21871P2/en) also notes heat and humidity tolerance.
## Garden use
The pink-and-purple leaves make this selection useful in a container, as a small group, or near the front of a mixed border where it can contrast with blue-green foliage. Terra Nova lists it for USDA zones 4–9 and part to full shade. Its rounded mound stays compact, while the taller flower stems add a second layer above the leaves.
## Growing conditions
Plant in rich, well-drained soil that stays evenly moist without becoming waterlogged. Keep the crown at or just above the soil surface, and improve drainage in heavy clay or use a raised bed. The breeder describes average watering and advises letting established plants run a little on the dry side rather than keeping them soggy.
## Maintenance
In early spring, remove damaged or tired leaves and clear away spent flower stems when they no longer add interest. Leave healthy foliage in place through winter, and keep mulch from covering the crown.
