About Heuchera 'Cajun Fire'

‘Cajun Fire’ coral bells forms a rounded mound whose foliage shifts from red in spring to near black in summer and maroon in fall. Creamy white flowers on dark stems rise above the leaves from late spring into summer, adding a second layer of interest. ## Garden Use Plant it in a mixed perennial bed or use it as a compact color accent near a path or patio. Terra Nova lists a 9-inch foliage height, 14-inch spread, and flower stems to about 18 inches, with USDA hardiness zones 4–9. Its [cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/heuchera-cajun-fire/) gives the seasonal leaf colors, white flowers, part shade or full sun, and average garden water. The [plant patent](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP24150P3/en) records the same selection and its May–June bloom in Oregon. ## Growing Conditions Provide well-drained, organic soil and moderate, even moisture while the plant establishes. The dark, saturated foliage can take sun when water is available, while part shade is useful in hotter locations. ## Maintenance Plant with the crown level with the soil rather than burying it. Remove damaged leaves and spent flower stems as needed.
